Shortie headers with o2 fitting.

Im trying to find some shortie headers and a Y-pipe For my car.

I dont need the smog tubes but I do need the o2 fitting in them.
Which headers/y-pipe combo has the o2 fitting.

I was looking at the hedman setup but I will have to weld a o2 bung in place. Does hooker make the headers/Y-pipe setup with the o2 fitting.

SLP are out of my budget.
And I think flowtecs are only 1 1/2 inch primarys. I want 1 3/4. with 2 3/4 to 3 inch Y pipe. but will settle for the 2 1/2.

Thanks

The only headers that fit your criteria are the SLP's and those are $500 uncoated. If you can "live" with 1 5/8" primaries and a 2.5" y-pipe, get the hooker supercomp headers p/n 2055. They're 50-state legal and come with a y-pipe. I have them and i'm in the fun process of installing them....

I could handle going with 1 5/8 primarys, and the 2.5 in y-pipe, but I would like the o2 sensor fitting. The slps are out of the question (married and got a kid) money wise.

What are the hooker shorties and y-pipe part #'s.
I would go with the hedman but the y-pipe doesnot have the o2 fitting.

does the edelbrock tes have the o2 sensor.

Hey red, does the super comps have the O2 bung in them? Is it facing the right way? What else should I look into buying to make the hedder installation complete? Wire looms, boot covers, tools, things like that.

The supercomps have the oxygen sensor bung facing the firewall but thats no big deal...i test fitted the left header and there's plenty clearance to get at it underneath the car. THey have the air tubes but they go straight up above the primaries so those don't cause too much of a clearance problem like the stock manifolds with the air tubes jutting out. You will need to modify a few brackets (A/C) and i believe the pipe going off the AIR pump to the divert valve. I have a serpentine belt system so this might not be the same for earlier cars. The biggest problem is getting the passenger side manifold off. I'm still going at it with 3 bolts left.

I plan on taking the AIR system off, no need to have it on there. I don't think I have a sep belt, but it has been a while since I have been near my car. BUt it won't be to much longer, I am ready to go home!! So I take it I need to find AIR hole plugs, I saw a couple of posts so I will do a search, but do you have the factory/factory replacement cat&cat back? I will be taking out my cat, but I wonder how it is going to line up. Good luck with the bolts, unless you have a special tool, you will probably not be able to take off the A/C lines. I am sure you know this, but just in case. Let me know how it goes and any advice you can give I would be very thankful of.

I could weld the o2 bung in myself, where is the best place to put it is the problem. I figured if the bung was already on the headers it would be in the right place.

I just found a collector that hedman makes that has the o2 bung this may work. I will have to make the wire to the o2 sensor longer.
