now that the car is driveable (for the most part) IU was going to go out and make some vids with a friend and I (greenmachine92rs)

also was wanting to make some sound clips of the car with open headers


any idea on how to record from a VHS onto a computer as well as how to record just sound onto the computer from like a tape recorder or something?

 

Yep, use what I use, worth every penny. Go to www.computers4sure.com and look at the ADS or something like that brand or search for USB Video Grabber, $61 or so, that's what I use and comes with the software to encode the video into mpg, avi, and others.

As far as the sound goes, you can use the same thing, and it can create a video and sound file separately.
