Looking at summits picture of the hooker 520-2055 headers, the collector seems to end straigh down between the two middle cylinders instead of like most shorty's which seem to end near wher the stock exh. manifold ens. Is there enough space on a 85 z28 to attach a y-pipe and have it flow back. It just looks like it would cause problems. Anyone have these?

That's not the right picture.

 

I have those same headers on my GTA. They fit very well with good clearance once you get them in there. The y-pipe and the collector fits nice too.
