Where do you get the kit to make non-air injection headers have air injection? I looked around and can not find anything. I know they make AIR injection kits it's just a case of where is it sold?

I didn't know they made kits, but if it were me I'd probably just get some materials and do it my self with fuel lines, a drill and a welder....or have some one else do it

Thanks for the response. I heard there were kits but maybe there aren't. If not I will just have to have them fabbed up.
I've never heard of a kit for it either, but thats not to say it couldn't be done. Other than for passing a visual smog inspection, you really don't need them. After the car warms up they aren't used anyway. If you just run a line straight from your AIR pump to the cat, it should work fine to keep it from clogging up.

In the early days of emissions, outfits like Hooker made retrofit A.I.R. tubes for headers. Since emissions-certified headers have become the norm, I haven't seen them. In theory, you should be able to make factory tubes work with some inventive cutting, drilling, and welding. Or, you may be able to sweet-talk SLP out of a set.
Passing the sniffer isn't the issue with A.I.R. at the exhaust ports. The diverter valve routes the flow back to the cat during closed-loop operation, so nothing is needed at the engine. Visual inspection is a different matter, though, if you have that.
I suppose now you're going to say you don't have the smog pump, O2 sensor, computer controls, or cat anymore. If that's the case, missing A.I.R. tubes on the headers is most likely the least of your problems.

As far as the sniff... I'd say probably. All it supposedly does is help reduce hydrocarbon emissions on startup. But honestly if the CAT is gettin enough air it should still have the same effect. I always thought the AIR system was kinda dumb personally. But hey, they must've done it for a reason I guess.
