Hooker Header Questions

Hey

I am going to be getting the exhaust soon. I called up a perforance shop and they said that I cant get Hooker headers with a Y Pipe for 1985. I want to know if I can get the Hooker Headers with the Y Pipe for 1986 models. I will have to get a new Cat but I need one anyways probley. So I want to know If I can get the Hooker headers with the Y Pipe included for 1986 and up. If I do get the 1986 model headers will they bolt up correctly with the right cat. I also would like to know the Part # for those headers. Thanks

There isn't anything listed for '85 because it was a "bastard" year, with parts different from years before and after.

You can put the '86-'91 TPI single cat headers and cat on your car. The cat-back won't bolt to the cat, though, so you might want to go ahead and get the cat-back while you're at it (although it wouldn't be hard for a shop to modify it - and after the cat, there aren't any fines at stake).

The p/n for the headers is 2055. The '85 is a bastard year in so many ways, I'm not sure if it'll be problem, but the driver's side A.I.R. manifold faces to the rear on the headers (my stock manifold faced to the front).
