I assume all 350's are like this so i guess i am asking why GM didn't put dual cats on the 350's?

no not really, dual cats was an option. i have a single cat on my 89 but there was an option for dual cats.

but if you look at it as costs for you a single cat car is cheaper since you only have to buy 1 cat and not 2 plus there are more shortie direct fit headers available for a sigle cat car. the 2 cat cars still end up with a single 3 in piping before the muffler so roughly will flow the same when modified.

if go with long tube headers and true duals whether you had 1 cat or 2 to begin with wont matter.

I have a 350 and dual cats, it's part of RPO G92. (I forget the dual cat RPO by itself.)

 

i wont be posting much over the next 6 weeks, but you get really bored with this much free time and being temporarily disabled. in a week the DOC said i can wash my car (1 handed of course haha)

shoulder surgery yesterday so its straped to my gut for the next 6 weeks minimum and no working out for 6 months only physical therapy in a couple weeks.
