Flowmaster Force II
Flowmaster Force II
Cany anyone tell me anything about this exhaust? Ive never heard of the Force II. A guy says his g/f paid $400 for it now and he'll sale it to me for $175. Its never been installed and is still in the box. Its a catback system. Looks like 3inch. Just want to know if anyones got one of these. Also i saw on another post its single outlet...does this mean i would only have one tip? Thanks

Yea it only has one tip, and if you buy it make sure that one outlet is 3 inch. There is a 2.5 inch available. I just ordered the same one myself and got it for $229.99 from summit. I have not heard one installed yet but they are supposed to be quieter than the american thunder system.
then i dunno about that then...if i do get another muffler, i want two tips.....i dont want the 4th gen SS look. Or i guess i could get it and just put on like one of those huge ***** tips. lol....but lemme know how it looks and sounds when you get it on...i could always change my mind possibly

I have that setup on my 90 305 TBI with stock manifolds and gutted cat. Its VERY quiet.
Sounds a little bit louder then stock, and is actually louder at lower rpms then it is at high rpms.
Around town cruising slow it sounds really good, deep throaty rumble... but if you punch it you hear the engine over the exhaust.
Good for those that want flowmaster sound at half volume! Great for a sleeper. I did not like this setup at all at first... it has grown on me however.

I purchased the flowmaster II also, I haven't hooked it up yet since the motor just went in and theres still lots to do, I'm using Edelbrock headers (I spent the extra for chrome) and a free flowing cat. I hope it all fits since I'm installing it on a convertible and I've been told by a few people that it may not work because of the extra frame supports the put on ragtops. I'm glad to hear that someone who has it installed likes the sound it puts out. It's unfortunate about the single exhaust pipe but I suppose if it bothers me that much I'll just mount a dummy pipe on the other side

I don't mind the single outlet, it is a single exhaust system anyway; and the force two is supposed to flow better than other cross flow designs.
