LT header install finished....
A few guys wanted me to keep everyone updated on this. I had a 305/6-spd combo with a HUGE Spohn x-member. The y-pipe was/is my main concern yet. Anyways, I just dropped my L98 in today. Motor/tranny were both out. I had a chain around the back of the a-arms to support the rear of the motor when we pulled the tranny out. The chain worked well to support the collectors when I had them laying across the k-member and it. Then I slowly lowered the motor in and then bolted them up when I could. I'm pretty sure they are 1-5/8" w/ 3" collector Headmans. I traded shorties for these from a buddy. I still have to weld an 02 bung in. Now I gotta make a y-pipe with dump chutes on it that will somehow clear my x-member and go into my single 3" catback. I also have SSM SFC's that are going in. I may notch the front "frame rails" to run the y-pipe thru at 45* (from the collectors) then bring them both back into one pipe behind the tranny to go back to the muffler, etc. Hope this helps someone out. I'll try and post some pics of all this and the completed project. Later

Is that 6 spd a T-56? How's the fit with the headers? I haven't heard of anybody with longtubes and a T-56 setup.

re:
Yeah its a T56 and LTs. Took a little fabricationa and sacrafice of ground clearnace but we did a 3" y-pipe past the tranny (LS1 style) and put Flowtech 3" dumps under there too. I'll try and post pics of it soon. It cleared the tranny quite well. Thats it for now. Later
