smog ppump wires

smog ppump wires

im removing my smog pump and the little black box has wires connected to it what do i do with them?

That tech article doesn't tell you what to do with the wires.

I can tell you that you can just cover them in black elec. tape, then attach them to something/somewhere that is unseen. I did black tape mine, but I didn't make sure they were attached to something. One day I popped the hood and saw them half melted from sitting on the exhaust manifold.

Needless to say, I then attached them with a zip tie to a bracket for the A/C compressor.
