Coating question, anyone know which is better?
I'm looking at a place near me, I haven't went in yet, but I emailed them. Their price for V-8 Shorty headers is 145$ outside coating only, 185$ inside and outside coating. I was wondering, why is it good to have the inside coated too? I'm pretty sure JET-HOT does inside and outside. Would there be a big difference in temperature?

If the inside is coated it reflects more heat and doesn't absorb as much as only the outside coated headers do. This cools the headers down by quite a bit. For $40, I think it's definitely worth it.

Not only will the headers be cooler with the internal coating, they'll last much longer because they will be protected from the leftover acidic exhaust content and moisture after you shut your engine down. As kfoley said, well worth the 40 bucks.
