Where to get y-pipe for this setup?

Hooker Comp headers, magna hiflow cat, hooker cat-back. I know the cat-back has nothing to do with the y-pipe but i put it in there anyway.

P/N 2460, right?

You local, friendly exhaust shop. You have to custom fabricate one. Nobody makes a pre-fabricated y-pipe for those headers, including Hooker.

If you price a custom-fabricated y-pipe, you might find that the 2055's, which come with a nice mandrel-bent y-pipe, would actually be cheaper.

i was thinking about those then i found out they have the air tubing holes in them. i dont want that. i dont care about inspection. having a y-pipe fabed will run me about $100 if i remember. and i am getting the coated headers so i am already there with the price as the 2055

i just got a price quote from Mufflex for 250-300 for a custom Y-pipe. He told me that they are a pain in the rear to build because F-body's have so little room down there to work with.

For your y-pipe, do you plan on having two 2.5 inch pipes feed into one 3 inch pipe, or two 3inchers into one 3inch pipe??? I might be getting SLP's and will have to get a pipe made, and I am not really sure which I should ask for.

i am going to be getting 3 inch all the way. now that i think of it i have a y-pipe. it came out of a 87 iroc. it is 3 inches. i might just have to have it modified if my headers are longer then the ones the y-pipe was for. the were edelbrock headers. the have the air tubing on them that is why they are not on my car. it is at my dads shop so out to long island to get the y-pipe.

That y-pipe will not fit these headers, but it might be less expensive to modify than to start from scratch. It should be 2.5" down-pipes into 3" at cat, though, not 3" all the way.

So i should go 2.5 down to the cat then 3 back from there? will the ypipe work then? i guess only time will tell.

2.5" from each side, 3" where they join, 3" from there on back including cat.

So, does this look like the right size? Its supposed to be SLP's Y-Pipe. Looks good, no?

i hear all SLP Y pipes are 21/4"! and that most aftermarket Y's are going to be 21/4" except Hooker Super Comps..is this true?
