My NEW exhaust question!

I ordered and got my new cat. back from dynomax and got a new cat. converter too! Now i'm wondering if i should gut the cat. or leave it alone! Has anyone got the flanges on both sides of the cat. and welded in a 3 in pipe in between! sorry if this sounds confusing!!! I would like to do that and send the catco cat. back...I really want a quieter sound without the cracklin, etc!!! Any suggests?? Thanks!! Any YES the H.O. dynomax cat. back is only 2.5" for future ref.!

why would you gut the cat? you make more power when it isn't gutted, and if you want straight thru power but also hav emissions tests weld in a cat delete pipe until you need the cat for testing, otherwise you've essentially wasted $100 on something to destroy =/

Don't gut the cat if it's a new hi-flo one, you'll pick up like 2 hp at the most.

They only way to get a 3" catback from Dynomax is to order all the parts seperately. That's what I did.
