Dont flam me to hard, I can understand if people post this alot :P

Just bought an 88 Iroc Z, and im wanting to put a mean exhaust system on it, but im hesitant about not putting headers on it. I hear good things and bad things about them. I know for one thing i was going to go with the 3" ameican thunder Flowmaster duals. Anyone know if these are true duels though? Ive looked but non successful. Also what kind of muffler? I want it to sound deep and rough, any suggestions would be great, thanks!

 

Get headers, there is no bad things about them.

I like my Hooker cat-back. Sound clip in the sig, with old mods. The Flows aren't duals, putting duals under a 3rd Gen isn't too easy makin it emissions legal.

 

Headers - Buy the best quality you can afford, use aluminum or copper gaskets, and personally, I like the idea of locking fasteners (Stage 8) and ceramic coatings. If you can't afford all of these, I'd at least do the gaskets. Hope this helps.
