You can take off the entire AIR system which is what I did, or you can weld it into the exhuast pipe, or you can just let it hang there. All it does is push out air, so it won't hurt anything. If you get rid of the AIR setup, it'll free up quite a bit of space under the hood (you can actually see part of the engine then

Now I get the whole remove the pipes and hoses part, but what do I do about the part that's connected to the serpentine system? Do I just leave it on and plug the last hose? Or do I take it off and run a smaller serpentine belt?
I plan on putting on headers with only the O2 bung, and get rid of all that A.I.R. crap, but I'm still a little confused as to what all should come off.

Take the smog pump off and run a smaller belt. Someone around here has a pn for it. Mine is a V-belt so I just had to take it off.
