Engine back exhaust
Engine back exhaust
I'm in the middle of restoring an 85 TA an need a complete exhaust system from the engine back. I have done some checking an no one offers a full system. I want 1 3/4" headers and I am leaning toward a dual cat system (more flow and cleaner emmisions) because that is an option. I have dumped the air injection system, but still need to pass the sniffer (there is no visual). I need suggestions! This will be on a brand new 350 L98 form SDPC w/ edelbrock heads, SLP siamesed runners, apfr & 24 lb SVO injectors, and a 52mm throttle body. Any experience or suggestions would be appreciated.
Brian
P.S. I will also be running a 150 shot of N20

Well, SLP is the only brand that makes 1 3/4" headers for a Thirdgen that I know of. You can get a dual cat setup w/o AIR just like you want from them too.
As for the cat-back, take your pick. The flow differences between them is minimal, so just pick one that you like the sound of.
Also, you'll probably have to hit a junkyard to find the actual factory dual cat setup, I don't think anyone sells it.
