Questions on SLP headers.
Questions on SLP headers.
I noticed on the SLP website that they are selling two sets of headers, one with the A.I.R. tubing and one without. What's the diff? Will going with the cheaper(w/o air tubing) affect my emissions or hurt the cars performance? I have an 89 GTA Trans Am.

The AIR tubes are part of the emissions system. They are the four silver tubes that go into your exhaust manifolds. Fresh air is pumped in through these tubes to help the catalytic converter react with the exhaust fumes.
While getting the ones without won't affect your performance at all (it'd be better if anything), it might raise your emissions, and would definately not pass a visual inspection if you have one.
So if you have to pass emissions inspections, then get the ones w/ AIR tubes.
