I just ordered a complete exhaust system. Tell me what you think about it.

I ordered the SPL 1 3/4" headers w/o air and with the single 3" out y-pipe. Then some 3" tubing, and finally a 3" glasspack which I'll put in the stock muffler location. I think this system is going to sound great on my 305. But really good once I get the new small block in there. I'll have it on my car in a week or 2.

it'll do 145 mph though

sounds pretty decent I am looking at putting entire new exhaust on mine from the headers to tailpipe, I was looking at getting Hedmans, but am keeping my options open so can you give me a ballpark cost on your setup?

Thanks

The setup sounds good with the exception of the Glasspack. Glasspacks are restrictive and IMHO I do not like the sound, I know you probally do not care what I think so do as you please. You can get a Flowtech 3in in/out for $13 dollars more through Kragen, and they actually flow pretty well. As far as the headers, they are pretty big for a 305, but you are on the right track planning ahead for a engine with more power. Good Luck

The glasspack may be a little restrictive but keep in mind those 2 1/4" collectors on the headers are what the main restriction will be. I think this system is going to sound really good.
