Taking off cat..

I have an 1986 Transam. Just finished putting in a 350 with melling cam. I want to take off the cat since I'm getting a custom chip from TPIS. When I cut out the cat, what do i do with the air tube goes into it?

Please Help. Thanks.

You can remove the air tube as well. Either remove it, or cut it off.

i would unbolt it from the source (believe the smog pump or a spliitter a little further upstream. then could always remove the injection tubes, smogpump and the rest since there is no cat anyway. will probably cleanup the engine compartment a lil better too
