full lenght header question
how are you full length guys running exhaust? i don't necessarily need to run true dual exhaust but i am considering buying full lenghts. i need to have as much ground clearance as possible. any suggestions would be appreciated and if you could, please post pics.

Spend the extra coin for a set of Hooker's, yes they're a couple hundred more than Heddmans, but it'll save ya a bunch of time, money, and headaches when you have the exhaust put on.

the car has a 60* v6 in it so i don't think that i have much choice. i found a set of full lengths on ebay and i am just trying to figure out how to fab up this exhaust system.

I think its a waste of time and money on a V6. What headers are they? I didnt even know they made V6 headers let alone long tubes for them. I wouldnt go trying to slap on some random header because I doubt it will never fit.
Its just not worth it at all. The time/money to power ratio is way off. Its like spending $600 on 1hp when that money could be spent somewhere else more wisely

i know that it doesn't sound right for me to do this this way but i really wanna make something interesting. i am considering a 3.4 bottom end with head work, cam and intake work. i have figured how to get 230-250hp out of a 60* v6, and thats before spraying it. if i could only let it breath better. my dad has an 85 with a 355 in it so if i want to mess with a v8 car, i have one of those too. but right now i want to see if i can make this v6 run.

I've never looked for hop up parts for the small V-6 are they as plentiful as say the 4.3, which would be worth investing money into? It's projects like your that catch peoples attention, cause everyone and their brother has a V-8, now if you can run with the V-8 crowd with your small V-6, LOTS of people will take notice and that's the cool part of the deal.

IHI, that's exactly what i am going for, for people to see me run 14's or something without juice and then them say, "that's a v6? wtf?" like i said though, if i want to play with the v8's i can just race my dad's car, but right now, i am set on getting the v6 to go. it could be interesting. i know that the 3.4 guys in the 4th gen cars are running 13's easily without nitrous or forced induction so i wanna see what i can get a 3rd gen too run. first with the bored out 2.8 and then down the road, i will get a 3.4 short block.

That's what makes rodding so neat, everyones got their own ideas and we all take them in and digest it for better or worse, so if the 2.8 is your project, run with it, just make sure it's a bad M.F.'er otherwise your gonna have alot of money spent for minimal payback-you know what I mean. Good luck!! and then happy hunting.
The only problem is your gonna have to work the crap outta your v6 to make it hang with stock/mild v8's. I mean is running an engine on the edge worth it? Plus how would the gas milage be in a worked v6 vs a mild v8???? not trying to rag on ya, your money do what you want. good luck.
