Header Wrap Questions
I was looking in the Summit Catalog today, and I noticed DEI header wraps say NOTE: Wrap voids most header maker's warranties. Why is this? Does the wrap damage the header?

They tend to rust out the primaries due to moister build up.What you need to get are the header jackets...those will keep your plug wires from being burnt up and keep things cool.

Yes, over time the heat retained in the headers because of the wrap will literally break down the metal. This is one of the reasons why the better ceramic coating companies coat inside as well as outside.

bad idea.
Most likely you would have to really be a professional to do it right.
It can trap moisture and speed up rusting. and it's a fire hazard, if any oil leaks on it. cars have caught fire before from it.
