HOOKER CAT-BACK?

Has anyone installed a Hooker cat-back system? How does it sound? I want a good cat-back for around $250. Any recommendations?

The Hooker system sounds great, I love mine. Its very easy to install too, only took me like an hour or so. The one problem is that the intermediate pipe sits on the rear suspension unless you buy a U clamp and put it through the hanger.

I also have the hooker aerochamber catback which i installed myself. It took me way longer than an hour to install though (I spent most of the time cutting out my old exhaust system with a dremel.)

Mods:Hooker Aerochamber 3" exhaust, gutted kitty,
March 2 piece underdrive pullies, smog pump gone,;these two made a very noticable difference.
14x4 K&N open air element filter-the best mod so far
Eibach springs with KYB's all around.
Appearance: Harwood cowl hood, Z-28 wing, painted black(7/20/00)-original color was light blue
*All these mods were made this year
Stock Options:117,000 miles on motor, 5spd, TBI, 305, T-tops
Run a best of 16.7 @85mph with traction problem. Have to try again sometime.

You cut off your old exhaust pipes with a Dremel? I'm curious, how exactly did you do this? Which attachment did you use on the Dremel? How long did it take you? thanx

Heh, i've done the same, my dremel tool came with little circular flat cutting disc's (easy to break), cuts right through though...
