Air tubes... help
Air tubes... help
I was considering capping my AIR tube ports on my manifolds, pulling my smog pump, and capping the line from the cat. I dont have emmissions where I live so no worry there. What I was wondering is will this cause any SES lights from my computer, like an EGR error? I would like to know before I do it, any other help on this subject would be a help. Thanks in advance!

I did remove my smog pump ,air tubes, gutted the cat and removed the smog pump solenoid (the black thing on the passenger side)and didn't have any problem so far with the ECM.

The only code you might get is a 32, EGR, in normal cruise speeds 65 to 75. I used 1/4 npt pipe plugs in the holes where the AIR tubes went into the exhaust manifold, when I removed it from my car.
you should be able to get those plugs at in local autoparts place just get 1/4inch pipe plugs ....i removed all the smog stuff from mine including the cat convertor and i havent had any trouble with it ...when i done mine i got the plugs from advanced auto hope this helps
