True duals?
Is it really possible to setup a dual exhaust on a thirdgen? I was told you need an h-pipe to equalize the exhaust pressures on each side, and theres no way to run the pipes close enough to set that up.
Any one have dual exhaust on their thirdgen? if so how do you have it setup and did you notice performance/sound quality increases?

I can't remember who it was exactly, but somebody did have true duals on their Camaro. Maybe if they see this post they'll show the pictures because I remember seeing the pictures of it. I'm sure it's possible.

I just heard the best design that has been come up with for a 3rd gen true dual exhaust!
Althiugh it consists of cutting and welding, you take out your back seat and cut the indentions out, flip them upside down and that is where the muffler goes! the seats retain there stock ride height but are less squishy and you have space for the muffler that won't get ripped of when you go over a speed bump! You're passengers in the back probbly won't like it but you get two mufflers and don't have to worry about them getting ripped off!
Right now I'm doing this to my GTA I think it should come out pretty good!

I just got true duals on my 1986 trans am. There is no scraping problem. My muffler guy actually put the whole system above where the stock 3 inch pipe sat. it cost me 200 dollars for the piping and 200 for the mufflers. i put 2 chamber race flowmaster and turn downs right before the rear end. He actually said he wanted to try taking it all the way back, so i might try that. the car sounds mean as hell. i actually had a guy walk by my house and when i turned on the car he came back and said that it sounded mean and wanted to know my specs...
true duals, best thing i did to my car.

I had dual 2" exhaust on my car. I used that bendable tubing that JC Whitney sells. The problem was that I ordered the galvanized pipes and the whole system rusted out on my car in about 4 months after I put the dual 2"ers on. If you get the anti-magnetic, stainless steel bendable tubing, it will last a while and is a great deal. I didn't run mufflers or cats when I had my dual 2" exhaust. It was loud and mean sounding. Now I have SLP headers with their y-pipe and a full 3" exhaust with a 3" in/out glasspack and I love it.
