Dual cat, cat back options

Many of the popular exhaust systems are not available for a dual cat car (dual cats seem to be nothing but trouble for me).

I really want a Hooker Catback for many reasons but they don't make one that bolts up to a dual cat car. Is there anything that I can do?

There are other options for dual cat cars, you just have to look for them. If you set on getting the Hooker setup, I'd say get it anyways. The only thing that you need to get, from what I've heard, is a custom made y-pip to connect the cats to the I pipe. I could be wrong but that's what I heard.

Hope that helps.

Dual catalytic converter "Cat-back Systems" that I know of:

Flowmaster Force II

SLP

"Cat-back Systems" that will work with a dual cat car with a minor amount of fabrication:

ALL OF THEM

Actually it is simple. You must use the existing y-pipe, which actually is not that bad. Get any cat-back system, and just cut the intermediate pipe a little shorter, and have it welded to the exisiting factroy dual cat y-pipe.

Check out Flowmaster's website. They do make an American Thunder exhaust system for dual cat cars. I have one and it sounds good. It has a 3" intermediate pipe, dual 3" polished tailpipes that exit on opposite sides. I believe the part# is 17228, but I could be wrong. I've had the system for over a year now and can't remember for sure.

I put the SLP part #31007 on mine. It is for 19911/2-1992 models with dual cats with slip on intermediate pipe, but SLP makes them for all years with dual cats. Sound is great and the system is all stainless steel. 3" intermediate pipe into 3" over rr pipe to muffler with two 21/2" pipes exiting out drivers side. Expensive though $399.99.
