Tailpipe Tips with Resenators
Hey I was wondering if anyone has used any tips with resenators in them and if these are useful or useless, I have no clue if they make any difference or just make the exhaust sound stupid, someone please let me know, thanks.

Well ive got a pair on mine. They sounds deep and mellow at idle. But since I have a V6 my EXHAUST (not the tips) sounds plain and so all you notice is basically the tips. They dont sound bad but I wouldnt say they sound good either. Basically all they do for me is chop up my exhaust tone. But I think with a V8 and exhaust behind them they would sound nice. It is a must I think to finish off the exhaust.

i've seen f-body's with these and they are usually driven by some dumb kid. From what i've seen and heard they just sound like a rice boy car. You may want to look into an oem resonator (not a tip) from a 1st gen f-body. They look like a muffler. but if you put that on you will have to do work to your exhaust system, but it would sound good.

Hey Slayer, whassup? I looked into resonators, too... I found out they're just like little mini-glasspacks. All they do is muffle the tone a little more. If it's a raspy-flowmaster sound, a resonator will just muffle it. Those in-line resonators are for the same purpose..to quiet the sound. Those old muscle cars had em' because they were SO loud, anyway.
Alot of resonator tips look good, though..so they're good for that.

Everything I know I learned by messing it up at least once.
