How much diference in SOUND do tips make?
I know they look better but do they make much difference in sound.
I am looking into the borla tips but if it doesn't make that much dif then I'll find something cheaper.

Exhaust tip shape really does affect sound.

A cone shaped tip amplifies the spound and makes it louder. Ever notice the hand held "megaphones" used at football games? It amplifies the users voice due to the cone shape. Will do the same on an exhaust system.

Any time the gas pressure shape is altered, it affects sound. That is basically how mufflers work, by making the gas change direction and shape.

If you had lots of time and money on your hands, you could try a butt load of different tips, and find the one that sounds the way you like best.
