Anybody running/have ran the Banks F-Body exhaust?

I just bought one of these for my gray '88 GTA, and was curious to see if anybody has any experience with this system.....?

I would have gotten another Flowmaster set for it, but I got this exhaust at a great price, and I definitely like the look of it..... in the box, anyways.

I'd just kinda like to know what to expect when I put it on the car in terms of sound, performance, etc. Thanks so much!

Frank, you just got yourself what was considered to be the best exhaust system available for 3rd gens at the time your GTA was new. Back in '88 I wanted a Banks system for my '85 T/A real bad, but could not afford it. That exhaust was part of an overall system Gale banks designed for a killer 3rd gen Camaro. He had suspension, brake, exhaust system upgrades to go along with his twin turbo package for the engines.

I think you will be happy.

Thanks, Tom..... It might turn out to be the best $200 I ever spent then..... I'm looking forward to getting it on the car and finding out for myself.

I had the old single side outlet Banks system on my 87 IROC when I bought it. I sounded pretty good and worked well, but I didnt like the single side exit.

I am trying really hard to put this system on my car. I got it from TPIS off their garage sale page, they advertised it as a 4 bolt system for 83-85. They first sent me an intermediate pipe for a duel cat car, then after I shipped that pipe back (out of my pocket) they sent me a TBI car pipe. (slip on, no flange) I think it will work with some mods. They have been very nasty to deal with. (same category as MAC tools customer service) Frankie, let me know how the performance is with this system on your car.

Hi Guys,
I've had a Banks Power Pack system on my 89 L98 for almost 4 years now. It sonuds "Great" and you will definitely notice a difference in performance. I have 2 3/4" Y pipe to 3" all the way back to a full flow muffler with two tail pipes on the left like the SLP setup except they are fully chrome plated.....The only way to go ! I just put a set of SLP 1 3/4" headers on with a 3" Random Tech Cat !

It's a Super Exhaust System !
