3" cat sound level vs 2.25" cat

3" cat sound level vs 2.25" cat
I have an 89 TBI RS and it came with the smaller cat, I was thinking of putting on the 3" TPI/Corvette cat because it will flow better. I'm aware of all that's required for the change, I'm just curious as to whether the bigger cat with mean a louder sound.
