I have a V6 firebird, and i want to put costom exhaust on it, what should i do, i was thinking about putting flowmasters single in dual out, and then 3" tips, any other ideas. thanks

Well on my 2.8L I slapped on a Flowmaster 80 Series muffler and 2 3.5" chrome tips and it sounds mean as hell. When idling it sounds like a small V8, it sounds really good and not ***** at all. Here in the next month or two I am going to fabricate some headers for my car, either the 2.8L truck headers or custom make them, who knows but I will have headers DAMNIT; I hate every company telling me "Oh, sorry we don't make them for your applications." Well, enough venting. I was also thinking about running exhaust piping straight from the heads to a collector and then to the Y-pipe. I think that would sound rude as hell. Hope all goes well and that I was of some help and by the way I noticed a significant increase in get up and go power w/ the Flowmaster. I say get one.

mike,, I'm not positive,,,but I think Pacesetter makes headers for the 2.8 (?).
I thought I saw that in a catalog for them,,,I might be mistaken tho.
