I removed the lines to the exhaust manifold and plugged them up with some brass fittings. I also plugged the line coming form the high-flow dynomax cat. I'm hearing now that this will harm (melt?) my cat. True??? Since I still have the pump on the car and it is blowing air, should I connect the air coming from the pump directly to the pipe coming from the cat???

naw had my cat on car for over a year with air pump and all removed no harm but did drop .3 in a quarter after taking cat all the way off
