What to do about exhaust, clueless!!

I have a 1988 Camero RS, V8, TBI, and I would like to make it louder, but have no clue what to do. What is the cheapest way to make it louder, Headers, Cat, Mufflers? I don't know and I would like to make it legal if I can. Suggestions on Brands would be great too. Thanks!!

well, if youre just going for louder and not better flow....then id suggest just a muffler. possibly a flowmaster 40 series....theres plenty different mufflers that would do you just fine

Headers and a cat-back will sound 100x better than just a muffler.

First get a catback system(hooker, flowmaster, slp) and a high flow catalitic converter. This will improve the sound drasticly . Then later down the line if u want an even bigger improvement in sound and acceleration get headers.

well, just wasnt sure how much money he was willing to spend. if youre willing to spend that kind of money, definitely do it then because it will sound better than just a muffler. however, just a muffler is good enough for some people so.....i guess its your call
