Ok guys here is the situation. I have a 1984 camaro v6 2.8 liters automatic. I am replacing the whole exhaust system. I just bought the dynomax cat back system, specifically for the 2.8liter, and a catco universal converter. I still need the y-pipes and the headers. Well the y-pipes are the least of my problems, I imagine I could have those made, but the headers they just don't seem to exist, everything is for a 265-400, or for 5.0 liters. What the heck is a guy to do. I'm sure life doesn't just stop, there has got to be a way for me to get some. Maybe some engine modification, or maybe I'm not checking the right parts places. I never understood why a pipe is just not a pipe, and it has to be specific to the cars application. For example why won't the type of headers I mentioned above fit my car? So I am a bit lost for now. And am hoping for some suggestions from some of you experts out there, or modifiers,people who have modified exhaust parts on there cars, please help, I would really appreciate it, thanx

 

JC Whitney has some v6 headers, I dont know if they are for 84 2.8's or if they are any good, but you might want to check it out. I remember seeing 6 cyl. headers somewhere else too, but i cant remember at the moment, if I do i'll post it

Edelbrock has them for 83-85 s10 jimmys 2.8l I dont have the slightest clue whether they will work.
and they have gaskets for 2.8l camaros.
