Anybody ever modified EGR spring to compensate for less back pressure?

I was thinking that maybe I could take apart the EGR valve and have the spring weaken by the percentage equal to the percentage of less pack pressure on the exhaust system. Can the EGR valve be taken apart?

i rember back in high school in my automechanics class during a lesson in performance my teacher was saying that, you can change the orifice to compensate for the difference in back pressure.

i work at advance auto and i encountered the same deal i put headres and 3 in exhaust on my car and found that little light on my dash kept coming on. get a new egr valve they run around $50. these come with a chart and orfice washers. choose one size larger washer and the backpressure should be compensated. if that doesnt work go one step larger. but if u reduce to much backpressure u will lose power.
