You probably dont need it but if you really want true duals it can be done but is relatively expensive i think. But I had an idea that may or may not work, that would cost a lot less than some people have paid. You can get flexible exhaust tubing, premium grade stainless Steel, not the crap they sell at Pep Girls, for like 150 for 25'. I dont know where to put the mufflers though.

i had tru duals put on my car with two 2 chamber flowmasters. they are part no. 325408. they are a low profile muffler and really small. my muffler guy was able to put both side by side where the cat used to be. it sounds awesome.
I have a dual exhaust system. But let me tell you that I wanted to stay legal so I have 2 cats ans 2 mufflers. I have Edelbrock TES headers and the two exhaust go over to the passenger side and I have the 2 cats there. From there the exhaust bends slightly to the driveshaft and goes straight back to the rear axle and over it. Now one pipe goes to the passenger side of the gas tank and the other to the driver side. And then right before the end of the car I have a muffler on each side. The mufflers are a round type and about 16-18 inches long, found in jegs and it is NOT a glasspack!
Now for the disadvantages, the exhaust pipe is only 2 1/4" and there are many bends not just mainly straight pipe. And I read that if a car's HP is between 250-300 then you should have 2 1/2" pipe and if it is over 300 HP then 3" pipe. Is it hurting me? I don't know since when I took it to the track I had a bad ignition control module and I'm still running a mainly stock intake. I'll know more when the track opens again. Also all this work was done by a custom exhaust shop, not too expensive $500 plus a $100 tip!
Advantages? Well it is daul exhaust.
And it has a unique sound all to it self And I heard alot of others. Some exhaust sounds I heard have a "tinging" sound or for a better play on words a metal ringing sound. Not this, a LOW rumble when idling that can be heard by my neighbors at night when I start it and let it warm up. In the car if you go for a long trip the rumble does get to you if you have the windows up. I did notice an improvement when the dual exhaust was put on before the headers and even more after the headers. The ZZ9 cam made the exhaust louder, definately! Does the 2 1/4" pipe hurt the car don't know yet but top end it pulls to 135mph and wants to go more, with the new ignition module.
Once I get an aftermarket intake I'll know more.
Another advantage is going on the passenger side I don't have to worry about the gas lines next to the exhaust pipe.
Snowman feel free to email me if you want my address and want to stop by since I live just on the other side of the Burlington/Bristol Bridge. We'll jack it up and you can look at it if you want.
In any case good luck!
