True Duals & Popping Sound
I don't know if I am going to keep this set up. It actually turned out better than I thought. I have headers and dual exhaust with 2.25 pipes. One 13" turbo muffler at the cat location ( I have no cat) and the other 13" at the rear stock location. Clearance is ok. Rattling is minimal.
The sound is good, but quieter than I had anticipated. There is a popping sound like glasspacks often make. I have no crossover. Would this help?
Thanks!

Joey, congrats for being the original owner on both those cars first!
That is great! I've been too poor all my life to ever get a NEW car! Do you think it has to do with 2 ex-wifes? But the new one is much better!hehe.
Anyway I had two glasspacks where the cats were and the inside rattled. This happen a couple of times after replacing them. I finally put the 2 cats back in and dual exhaust going down the passenger side, no problem. I then put a round muffler, found in Jegs, on each side of the gas tank near the end of the car. They fit really good there. I have 2.25" pipe too but I do have a 350 and she rumbles real nice.
I think since you have mostly stock and an LG4 model it would be not as loud. If you put headers on it and maybe a slightly better cam it might be a little louder. IMHO don't think a crossover would help.
The popping sound, which side is it coming from? If it is the side that has the muffler at the cat position, which is what I think, then move it. I've often told people that the cat position is too hot for anything else but cats.
Hope it helps.

When you say you have turbo mufflers, I assume you mean the one's that are in jeg's that they call turbo mufflers but they are really the old musclecar chambered exhaust mufflers? Basically straight through? My friend has true dual on his 74 corvette with those mufflers and his popped really badly on deceleration. He went to a local Meineke and had an H pipe (crossover) added and it greatly reduced the popping, made it ever so slightly quieter (not even a noticelable voulme difference) and added a noticeable power increase.
Hope this helps.
