dual cats

Hi,

I have a '92 Camaro 305 TBI. I was thinking about upgrading to dual catalytic converters. My only concern is the exhaust manifolds. I think that the TPI motors had larger diameter manifolds. Will the y-pipe, with the dual converters from a TPI car, bolt up to the smaller manifolds of my TBI?
I am not really interested in changing to the larger manifolds because if a manifold bolt breaks when I try to remove them, I am in big trouble. Any information on this swap will be appriciated.

Thank You,

Nick

Both the dual cat y-pipe, and the single 3" y-pipe will not bolt up to the TBI manifolds. the manifold on the passenger side has a different angle on the outlet. I have never broken a manifold bolt, but it's still not a fun job. If you want more performance, but don't want to deal with the manifolds, I've seen the y-pipe cut right at the y, and a 3" pipe and cat welded to that. On a 305 TBI, there won't be much power lost from the smaller manifolds.
