I pulled the starter off, and then just have to work on twisting and pulling the tube out. I sprayed some WD-40 on it and just kept working with it, and finally it pulled out.

The worst part is getting to go back in once the headers are on.

I had the same problem with my dipstick tube, mainly getting it out the first time. Once I had it out, I cleaned it off and smoothed it down so that it would fit better. Use emory cloth or a fine sandpaper or steel wool and it'll make life much easier.

Wiggle it out from the top, make sure that the mount that holds the dipstick to the block is reoved(bolt). I just did my TES and I didn't remove the starter and I was still able to install the headers. Come time to install the tube clean it off, apply a little RTV and get it started in the seat. Take a piece of wood board and put it on the tube and tap the board with a hammer to seat the dipstick.
