pipes straight out of muffler

How about this? what if I run tailpipes STRAIGHT OUT ofthe muffler outlets instead of turning them out towards the back bumper? Has anybody done this? I just got 3 inch tips and I'm dissapointed with those. I have alot of other ideas for custom exhaust. I want it to be loud but not too loud, a good loud, and I want it to be a deep gurgle if possible. What do you think?

That would look extremely gay. What are you using for a muffler now?

I don't know about the gay thing,,matter of opinion,,,but it wouldn't work very well just due to the cars design,, and yea,,,it probably would look a little odd. Other problem,,,if you don't like the sound now,,,you'd have the same sound,,,just louder.

Yeah, I thought it might look a little wierd too, but it's a thought. I also thought aboutrunning a pipe out of the cat and run it under the passengers side door (and using a low profile oval/ rectangular tip. I think that would be pretty loud and who knows, maybe it would sound decent too? If I ran this setup with no cat it would be alot easier to do but it would probably be way too loud.
