I am planning on getting hooker headers for my 84 Firebird. Does anyone have any experiance with them. How hard is it to install? Any problems with them leaking? Any comments would be apprieciated. Thanks

 

I have the TES Headers, so I assume the Hookers are similar. They are a real bear to install because there is hardly any room to work, its hard to fit wrenchs into places to tighten bolts and everything. It took me the better part of a long weekend. Some of the work will have to be done from underneath the car, so you will need to raise it either with jack stands or ramps (like I used).

dumb question but ive never seen it discussed....are u supposed to use any RTV or sealant of any sort in conjunction with the header gasket?
