Tossing some ideas around.

A new exhaust system is in the near future of my car, the 3in back isnt flowing enough especially with the factory Y still intact.
I plan on getting some shorty headders (only shorties) but using a custom setup from the headders back. My thoughts were to attach 3in pipe from the headders and use a custom dual pipe setup(no Y at this point) from the headders to cat location where 2 glasspacks would be. Then after the glasspacks going into a 4in pipe back. Over the Axle it would Y out again still 4in pipe and exit factory locations. My Exhaust guy wants to run the same 3in from the headders then where I want glasspacks he wants to start the 4in Y and follow that back into a factory type dual exit Flowmaster, Yuk. Were debating this right now abd could use a 3rd_____gen opinion.

sounds like a major PITA. Id say that would be easier to do with longtubes also...dont know why you insist on staying with shorties.

I dont like headders at all. If I could I'd just through some truck manifolds on or Ram Horn manifolds and forget it. I just dont like the noise headders produce especially long tube's. The ones on my truck drive me tkkkkktkkkkkkNUTSkkkkkkkkkkkk and no there not leaking.

Common guys I need input on which system will flow more, I dont want to do the exhaust again in the future.

Realy? I must be the only one that doesent like leaking headders, changing headder/collector gaskets. Hmm got me thinking though.

I've heard of others not liking headers, but they're worth the pain.
