WANT QUIETER EXHAUST
I currently have a flowmaster 2-chamber and hollow cats,I still havn't installed my headers(in the garage)and I'm sick of the noise.I like it loud when you get on it but drives me nuts on long rides, what is a good exhaust that is quiet during normal driving with some sound when you jump on it and also not too restrictive

has anyone tried the borla exhaust and how quiet is it when you put everything thru the muffler and how easy is it to change say if you went to the track and want to open it up?????
If you want a quieter exhaust, get some high-flow cats. Hollow cats sound like a$$.

I just did headers on my ZZ4TPI. I was gonna leave the cats off but after installing a single, highflow 3" in/out cat and my existing Dynomax Catback, with the SLP 1 5/8" headers, I'm glad I opted for the cat. It's still pretty loud just cruising, and sounds great at WOT. Almost, I repeat ALMOST Borla-like at WOT. Given the $500+ I'd go with a Borla. Love that music!

You could try the Flowmaster Delta Flow, it supposedly flows even better than the Am. Thunder setup, yet it's quieter and newer design. Same price too. As far as Borla, they are easy to change out for the strip, it would take you the same amount of time as it would to take a $30 cutout and open it. And just think, the cutout is only $500 or so cheaper than the borla.

I have the flowmaster force II setup on my car. Nice deep mellow rumble, it is the quietest exhaust I have had on my car, besides the stock one. I picked up a tenth going from the hooker to it. I am tired of it though, I think I want something different. (My 5th exhaust system)
