If I take the entire smog system out of my car will the computer or the performance be affected?...... I have an 86 Trans Am 305cid LG4, OD 700R4 Trans, with a carb.

I have a LO3 and removed everything but the canister, EGR, and the pump its self. But the pump is not hooked up! What all are you going to take off?

It says that if you remove the EGR system from the car you will have a continuous "Service Engine Soon" light...

As far as the A.I.R. Pump is concerned you can go ahead and remove that with no problems....
