Need your opinion: Hooker or Borla

Ok, now I cant decide between Hooker and Borla. Can you tell me how the two sound and just your personal opinions of the two? I want my exhaust to be pretty loud but not like a freight train or anything, and I want a deep sound. I want it to sound mean too. I know the Borla is over twice as much money but I dont mind, if you're going to spend money it's better to spend a little more to get something you're happy with. Well, what sould I do? By the way, this is going on a 91 RS soon to be Z28

Black_Widdow,
I would go with the Borla in my opion. I have had flowmaster(86-Z28) and hooker(92RS) mufflers and saw it rust away then went with a Borla system. The Borla exhaust is not only stainless steel but with the interchangeable plates, you are able to tune the sound to your taste.

What about the sound of the Borla? How loud is it and what kind of sound does it make? Is it a gurgling sound or what? I've never heard American Thunder, Hooker, or Borla so I really dont know what to expect out of them.

Widow, you can go onto the Borla site to hear how it sounds. They have a clip of Borla on a 4th gen camaro. It sounds bad *ss

and I don't know about anyone else, but I think freight trains sound pretty mean and deep. But not the sound to go for i guess.
