Flowtech Headers?

Is their 4 into 1 design any good? I know some of the Hooker headers have a shortie style header, what is the power difference in that style of headers?

All I know about flowtech is that we've used two sets before and have liked them.

I think that Hooker owns them, which is now own by Holly.

I HAD Flowtech headers. I went with Heddman's later cause of primary/collector size.
Flowtech - 1.5"/ 2.5" collector
Heddman - 1-3/8" /3" collector

I only switch cause I thought the bigger header would help later out with more modifications. But, yeah, they were pretty good. They actually gave me MORE off the line torque. The y-pipe was a nice piece, looked like stainless steel. Never rusted on me. I was impressed.

When I did put on the Flowtech's I just slapped 'em on and boy did they smoke. Paint. Stunk too.

I have heard of do-it-yourself ceramic/metallic coatings very similar to JET-HOT. Heard good things. I am thinking about doing it.

GOOD LUCK!

U mean they smoked the paint that came on them? If that's the case i may just go with a pair of Hedmman or Edelbrock TES, i do need to remain emissions legal. Guess i'll just drill holes in the top for the AIR tubes.

Header smoke the first time you start them up because it causes the paint on them to cure and it burns away all the oils and grease you got on the headers from your hands during the installation.
