Hooker Exhaust tips..rusting!!!
I have a couple of questions..but first off i would like to say that the hooker cat-back exhasut system sounds great, and I am really glad I went with it, but i have only had the system for 4 months now and they are getting kind of rusty, mostly in between the dual tips and in the tips themselves. I really pride myself on keeping my car clean, and i try to keep the tips cleaned with rust remover/chrome polish and waxed..(motocycle chrome wax) but IT STILL IS getting BAD!
is anyone else experiencing this problem..i live in chicago and I am afraid that these tips might not make it for years to come...is this normal, does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep the chrome from rusting severely.
I appreciate your time if you have any suggestions for me.

I experienced the same problem, and eventually just removed the tips altogether. Drivers cannot see the exhaust system now, but they sure can hear it. I like the "clean" look and think I'll just stick with it.
