Your neighboors just called and said to put a muffler on that damn thing because you sound like a 1972 pick-up truck.

This looks like a job for me...
I had no muffler on my L98 for a year. I had stock exhaust manifolds, dual cats, and a 3'' Monza PaceSetter catback with the muffler taken off, exiting in the stock dual tip locaiton.
It sounded pretty good. I personally like a muffled sound better on any car.... it has a more refined, good sounding tone. It souded like no one should **** with me when the muffelr was off. Some cars were even scared to race because of it. But it did sound good.
It was very very loud, at idle and ridiculous at WOT. Car alarms go off in parking lots, especially in parking garages. I got pulled over like nothing else and I wondered why. The drone at 2000rpm inside the c the highway was basically unbearable at times.
The biggest problem was negative attention from the police... I was pulled over several times a month and getting tickets left and right. When I got the headers and muffler put on, it was a lot quieter. My driving style did not change, but I no longer got pulled over for almost a year. I should also add, that I never got pulled over for the specfic reason of the exhaust being too loud. Never once did an officer say to me "son I pulled you over becuase your exhaust is too loud" or even a friendly reminder when he's leaving "and by the way your exhaust is too loud" NEVER! The point is, I never directly got pulled over for it, but I know that it makes them subconscioulsy want to pull you over to a much greater extent when the car is ridiculously loud with no muffler.
All in all, if you want a loud thirdgen and it is not your daily and your not going to have issues of pissing your neighbors off, take your muffler off if you want to. If you drive it daily, expect a lot of attention from your local police department.... ****, they may get to know you on a first name basis like me. (no, that is not a good thing).

I'd put a muffler (or full cat-back on there). Open exhaust sounds terrible IMHO and I think if you put a good exhaust on a car it can really "finish" the car. Save a little cash and buy a good exhaust system. Hookers are always nice, but just to be fair, I'll say that flowmasters are good kits too.

Once your computer has downloaded the picture once it doesn't download it again, it's already stored on your machine, so something must be up.
