I decided its time to go and pay to get a hooker

... a hooker aerochamber catback.

I got a 3'' catco cat and 3'' hooker catback to go with my slp 1 5/8 headers. Let me just tell you, it is awesome. I could not ask for a better tone, both on the inside and outside. It is absolutley perfect on the inside, not to loud, but you can hear it, nice and deep. No drone whatsoever. The outside has a real nice deep rumble with the 10:1 compression and couldn't sound too much better IMHO. I might join Mark in pushing the hooker on people.... it's well worth it. Now I just need some exhaust tips...

I will soon be joining the hooker klan. I have duals now but im going back to a single 3'' soon and Im gonna run TES headers, no cat, to a hooker catback. Hope it sounds nice. Im gonna run the quad tips hooker gives you I think they look awesome. I know marks sound clip sounded great and he had a small cam, low compression, and a cat....wonder how mines gonna sound??

Yeah Mark's clip convinced me to get one, I've got it but it's in my garage, not installed yet.

305 TPI with no cat, can't wait to hear what it'll sound like.

Can I get the Hooker Aerochamber muffler by itself? I woul dlike to go w/ the Hooker instead of my flowmaster. I'm running a 3" intermediate pipe and dual 2 1/2" outlets. I had originally bought the JC Whitney cat back. It has nice tubes, but a crapy muffler, so I got a Flowmaster 80 series. I like the way the Hooker sounds, but haven't been able to find the 3" inlet croosflow, muffler only. - thanks for any help...

later, justin...

That's what I did

Check Jegs or Summit, I'm sure they got it. I picked up mine used. It's got a 3" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets. MY IROC had manifolds, into the stock 2.75" OVAL head pipe, then into the stock oval 4 bolt ( hollowed ) cat, then into a 3" Flowmaster I-pipe, into a FLowmaster muffler. Sounded good, but I wanted to quiet it down a bit IN THE CAR. The Hooker mufflers and the headers are a GOOD combination. Sounds mean at WOT and has more of a subtle, but throaty sound at idle.

for the best sound you need headers and no cat. the only hooker catback ive heard in person is mine, but im pretty sure having cats would kinda take away from the total effect that is HOOOKER CATBACK!!
