SLP headers...best way to install fan switch without burning it??
as you can see in teh picture above, teh fan switch comes pretty close to the headers tubes. (and its broken, but thats another problem..) what is teh best way to fix this problem? the wire comes REALLY close to teh tube and i am afraid that it will burn. i also dont want it to look like crap. what do you guys recommend?
there is an "open" hole on teh driver's side head, which i could probably move the switch to, but i dont know if thats possible.
any ideas???

We just talked about this on the f-body.org [3] list. The suggestion was to either use the fireproof boots that come with the SLP install kit, or reverse the fan switch and temp gauge sensors, like you said. (the open hole should have the temp gauge sensor in it)
My SLP 1 5/8" headers I didnt have any problem with, but I guess I will have this problem too when I put my SLP 1 3/4" headers on this weekend.

Did you get the installation kit with it? It comes with a 90 degree elbow for the fan switch.
