Need some tips on removal. All clamps have been loosened, and it's the slip-on type. Trying to cut it off with hacksaw, yields no results. Also, how does that AIR tube come off?

Yeah, let's give a novice a torch next to some nice rubberized undercoating and a rare ground effect.....
There is no 'easy' or 'quick' way to get it off that you're looking for. You need to cut it off on the car or drop the Y-pipe and cat then cut it off. You can use power tools such as a sawzall. You can make it look stock with no sleeves if you cut a small sliver of the outer tube off (enough to rid yourself of the rust and spot weld) and then the other half will slide right off then you can clamp it without the sleeve.

ODB's way, or get a disc cutoff tool, cut a slice down the cat's pipe, and then open up a nice gap with a metal chisel or -gasp- a screwdriver.

Ah yes. For avioding dropping the Y-pipe the slice on the pipe is an easy way. That one totally slipped my mind.

I removed one before with a pneumatic hammer. It split it open like butter.
