exhaust system question???
Will a 3" hooker catback sound good if I used my stock manifolds?
And if I do decide to get Headers what will I have to do to install the Y-Pipe and the Catback?

It All depends......
My IROC had stock manifolds, stock 2.75" oval IROC head pipe into hollowed stock cat, with a 3" Flowmaster I-pipe into a Flowmaster muffler. Sounded good, but it was JUST as loud inside the car as out.
Just installed headers, and the Flowmaster sounded a bit too loud for me. ( It's for sale cheap if you want it ) so I installed the Hooker Aerochamber muffler I picked up awhile back.
QUIET but throaty at idle. QUIET in the car, I can hear the fuel injector noise underhood now from in the car with the radio off.
From the back of the car it sounds like the old Camaro chambered exhaust at idle and WOT........I Like it.
SOTP dyno gave a huge kick in the pants from headers.
Just my highly inflated 2 cents.
